‘Un-Re-Solved’ – Performance Artist Rosalind Murray
Visual Friday 21 September 7.30
Visual artist Rosalind Murray creates images and narratives through performance. ‘Un-Re-Solved’ uses a mix of drawing, text and song to engage with the female movie-star suspects in the William Desmond Taylor murder case. It was said that a short person shot him, someone around five feet tall and one investigator notes that this was the height of every woman in Taylor’s life. ‘Un-Re-Solved’ meditates on what may be solved, unsolved and unresolved in love and murder. The performance frames these poetic musing in the silent and the roaring 1920′s.
