taylorfest speakeasy

A restored 17th Century coaching inn at 59 Dublin Street becomes a prohibition era Speakeasy and the official festival club for the duration of Taylorfest. Recently emerging as a screening room and performing arts space, the fully licensed premises was launched as an arts venue by director Lenny Abrahamson in June 2012, and has since featured performances by The Holy Roman Army, The David Ayers Trio, and Bedrock Theatre Company.

Friday and Saturday night at the Taylorfest Speakeasy will feature jazz music, cocktails and swing dancing with an insistence on period costume – so guys get your flat caps, boaters or top hats at the ready, and gals pull out your granny’s flapper dress, cloche hat and mary janes.
