Launches 5pm 19th September: Culture Night
The Shaw Room
Carlow County Library
Tullow Street, Carlow
Runs 19th – 27th September 2014

Commissioned for Taylorfest 2014 and launching on Culture Night, this exhibition presents a collection of new photographs by local photographer Tony Hunt where he re-creates vintage portraits submitted by Carlow people of their ancestors.
Exhibited alongside the new work is a selection of prints from “The Nolan Photographic Archive“. The collection contains 188 photographic images created by Stephen Nolan (1868-1939), a skilled amateur Carlow photographer. The images date from the first decade of the twentieth century approximately and many depict local people, scenes and landscapes. This will be the first ever public exhibition of these historic images.
